Teams through to State Playoffs!

Two Gitch teams qualified for the State Championships this week. Wells McGifferts's U14 C2 (Pictured above) sealed promotion to the U15 C1 league next season and a trip to State this season.

Kailee Katts U16 Girls also automatically qualified after their league finish.

Seth Eklund's U14C1 Boys (Pictured below) also won 4-0 yesterday vs North Oaks to confirm their place in the State Playoffs.

Also, our U16 C2 Boys, coached by Matt Nevanen, finished first in their division, were promoted to C1, and automatically qualified for state. They only allowed in 6 goals for the whole season!

The Lumsden brothers, Mally and Miki also managed to win their playoff game and qualified for state with their U16 Boys C3 team. Last but not least Otto Berti's U18 Boys C2 team also reached the championships this week.

Moving on to the USA cup, Barry  U17 Boys added another trophy to their collection this season after winning the final this past weekend. The team started by beating North Dakota's number 1 ranked team, the Magic, 1-0 with a goal from Peyton Marshak. Perhaps the most impressive result came in the second game against #38 ranked team in the nation from New Jersey, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The final pool play game ended 2-1 against Neehah from Wisconsin, with goals from Lance and Keegan. This put them through to the next round where they beat a team from Nebraska 4-3 with goals from Keegan, Aiden and a double from Cal to secure their final game. In the final Keegan Chastey scored two goals to win the game 2-1 against KC Comets.

Well done to all teams who played over the weekend and good luck to our teams at the State championships.
